Continuous Laser Diameter Measurement System

System for continuous acquisition and storage of bar diameter measurements, installed downstream of a grinding machine. For each bar, diameter values are sampled and stored with micron precision, recording the complete measurement trend along the entire length of the piece.

Each measurement is saved to the database and associated with the production order and batch reference. The system supports two databases in parallel: a local one for real-time management and, on request, a remote one on the client's database. Powerful SQL functionalities allow filtering, searching and statistical processing of any range of historical data.

The system operates in two distinct modes: tooling (calibration and production changeover) and production (recordings acquire full statistical validity for quality control).

Internally developed communication drivers support the main bar diameter measurement lasers (AEROEL, ZUMBACH), compatible with both TCP/IP and RS232 serial. Additional laser models can be integrated on request.
